How to make tyres sexy? We understand that it’s very difficult to get excited about tyres. We probably don’t pay any attention to them, unless they burst or need replacing.
So marketing a tyre company to a wider world is a challenge, but one we relish. Every business has a story to tell and the one behind Bandvulc is fascinating. The O’Connell family started in a small unit in Ivybridge in 1971 retreading tyres using rubber imported from Malaysia. They were certainly on the right track, building and developing the business to the point where, in July 2016, they were acquired by brand leader Continental.
Today Bandvulc is a multi-million pound company still selling tyres but also providing 24/7 support for a wide range of customers, including 70% of the High Street and supermarket lorries on our roads. It’s a story that will have you gripped…
